The newspaper Kompass, one of the most popular in Indonesia, has set-up a team called (Ring of Fire Expedition Kompass Team) to explore for a month the volcanoes of East Java.

Indonesia is probably the most volcanic region in the world, and it attracts a lot of tourists, the Team will make an update on the volcanoes situation, as well as cultural aspects of the surrounding areas.

They will start exploring on November 3rd, 2011 by the site of Mount Kelud.
