Naruto was published first in November 1999 in the famous magazine Shonen Jump. It is a manga of the "Shonen" category. The author is the magaka Masashi Kishimoto, and the publisher is Jump Comics.
As manga , Naruto has a very large success with a total of 80 millions copies sold only in Japan. As per today the story consists in 40 volumes and 367 chapters so far, as the manga is still going on.

As TV Anime, it was produced by Studio Pierrot and directed by Yuuto Date starting in October 2002. It was broadcated on TV Tokyo.
